A massive 36.87 carat natural Hessonite Garnet with a warm orangy-red body, full of depth and fire. Cut in oval shape, measuring 22 x 17.1 x 12.3 mm, this gem shows visible sugary inclusions under torchlight, typical of authentic Ceylon Hessonite.
Originally bought as 100+ carat rough, we carefully removed the main inclusions and shaped it into this polished gem using expert craftsmanship at Liyanage Lapidary. It is unheated and 100% natural, mined from Kamburupitiya, a well-known gem-bearing region in Sri Lanka.
